Last Saturday's wood carving class at tortoise

teacher Yo
he said, carve it with your heart not with your hands!!

yo' nice wood objects.

The tool I used and the wood I picked to carve. It's Manzanita. It's very hard to carve. I wish I had more knowledge about wood before I went to the class.

The final product. It's a spoon for lose tea leaves. (actually I felt that I need to work on this more!!)

We really enjoyed the class. CL and I decided to keep doing wood carving as a habit. We are going to look for the tools and the material to carve.

It was a best weekend!!

How fun to stumble on your post-- I was in the class with you, and I loved your tea scoop! I can't wait to take another class with Yo.
