Happy new year!

The first day of 2009 was cold. It's nice because it's more like a real winter. "cold and humid."
We didn't do anything special for new year's eve so I baked cheese cake in the morning. Just needed some heat from the oven and also some fresh lemon zest aroma to start the first day of this year.
Also made cheery jam for the cake. ( I added some bourbon)

p.s.
I found this spider web in our front yard when we were running around and trying to deal with our old sewer line in the first day of 2009. (yes, it's clogged again) . It's life. When you were a bit desperate and you found something really simple and nice in front of you and it immediately comforts you........... for seconds you can totally forgot what's in your head and run back to house to get the camera..

I didn't have time to take breaks for this long weekend. But no complaints....
so below is sneak peak of what I've been busy lately.....
soon I will be able to talk more about this!

Hi Ah-Yi! Happy New Year.
I love the delicacy of the spider web and the subtleness of the images you post.
