making & making








We went to a hardware store in little Tokyo! Yah!! we found the Japanese carving knife. I recycled some scraps of cedar which we used for our deck. I wonder where I can buy and find the scraps of teak, bamboo or walnut.....

I didn't apply any oil or bee wax. I like the natural look of it although apply the wax will enhance the grain a little bit.

It was a wonderful Sunday afternoon! Making things always makes me happy!

    Carving looks like a fun and interesting skill to learn.

    Hello. When I was studying Architecture in PCC, a friend brought me to a shop out in Monrovia, past Pasadena. The shop specialized in wood cutting machines and they also sold exotic woods. I will try and get the address later. But it is in Monrovia.
